摘要

The molecular structure of lithium complex thickener with di-basic acid is composed with mono molecule of lithium-di-basic acid salt and bi-molecule lithium 12-hydroxy stearate salt. The properties of lithium complex grease with synthetic base oil are effected by solubility of lithium 12-hydroxy stearate salt and azelaic acid in synthetic base oil. In ether base oil, long fiber structure was observed because of poor solubility, and short fiber structure because of good solubility in ester base oil. In PAO, unstable grease was prepared because of non polar oil and poor solubility. To produce the high dropping point (> 500℃F) grease, even though the amount of di-basic acid to 12-hydroxy stearic acid is 0.5 mole preferably, in ether base oil the stable grease was produced with 0.25 mole. In ester base oil, the hard grease was produced because of hydrolysis of base oil.
