The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) requiring manufacturers of 19 high production volume (HPV) chemicals to test the health and environmental effects of the chemicals and to submit data. This rule is one of a series of actions that EPA is taking to ensure that the agency has the data it needs to adequately review priority chemicals.
