摘要

A series of glass fiber-reinforced rubber-toughened nylo n6 composites was prepared. The mecahnical properties and morphology of the composites toughened with ABS were investigated and compared with composites toughened with EPR-gMA. A study of the mechanical properties showed that the balance of the impact strength and stiffiness for both types of systems can be signficantly improved by proper incorporation of glass fibers into toughened nylon 6. The different between these two types of rubber-toughened composites are signficant at a high rubber content. However, the ductility of both composites toughened with rubber was signficantly lower than that of blends without glass fiber. The relationships between rubber content, nylon 6 molecular weight, compatibilizer, processing, and mecahnical properties are discussed.
