SAXS and WAXD real time studies on nanostructure of selected polymer materials

摘要

The results of the nanostructure investigations of selected polymers in non-isothermal conditions are presented. The main interest is focused on the formation and changes of the supermolecular structure during dynamic melting and crystallisation processes. The homogeneous ethylene copolymers, liquid crystal oligoester (LCD) and LCO-iPP molecular composite (isotactic polypropylene, iPP) were taken as the material for investigation. It was shown that real-time synchrotron investigation, is a proper method for describing changes of supermolecular structure parameters during crystallisation and melting process. Changes of long period values, degree of crystallinity, invariant, thickness of crystalline lamellae and thickness of amorphous layers during heating and cooling on wide range of temperature were discussed.
