Compounds R5Fe2B6 (R=Ce, Sm, Tb, Yb) have been investigated by Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopy. The distribution of the iron atoms in these compounds is on crystal positions having coordination numbers of only 14 and 15. The Fe-57 hyperfine parameters of the investigated compounds were determined. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. [References: 7]
