摘要

The crystal structure of UCu5Sn has beendetermined at room temperature by the single-crystal X-rayanalysis (KM-4 automatic diffractometer, equipped with CCDcamera, Mo Kα radiation). This structure was refined to R=0.050for 415 unique reflections and 22 variables. UCu5Sn crystallises inthe hexagonal CeNi5Sn-type structure with space group P63/mmc;a =4.998(1) A, c =20.271(4) A, V=438.5(2) A, Z=4. The structureof UCu5Sn can be described as a linear layout of fragments ofsimple structure types: CaCu5, AuCu3 and hypothetical 'M3X'.
