摘要

The structure of CaGdAlO_4 single crystal dopedwith Er has been refined by the Rietveld method using X-raypowder data. The crystal structure belongs to the tetragonalK_2NiF_4 type structure (space group I4/mmm, Z=4,a=3.65855(6) ?, c= 11.9787(3) ?). Green and blue upconversionemissions from Er~(3+) in CaGdAlO_4 at 550 nm, 440 nm and407 nm due to the ~4S_(3/2) -> ~4_(15/3), ~4F_(3/2) ->~4I_(15/2) and ~2H_(9/2) -> ~4I_(15/2) transitions, respectively,under near-infrared (800 nm) light pumping have been observed.
