A relationship to estimate the composition and temperature dependencies of the excess entropy of mixing, #DELTS#~(XS)(x,T), and the excess heat capacity, #DELTA#C_P~(XS)(x,T), for liquid binary alloys on the basis of experimental enthalpy and mixing data obtained at constant temperature has been introduced. The ability to describe the different shapes of composition dependencies of partial and integral excess entropy of mixing has been demonstrated. For particular examples it has been shown that additional information about heat capacity or excess entropy of mixing (even one experimental value) allows the used parameters to the individual system to be adjusted and a reasonable interpolation and extrapolation of #DELTA#C_P~(XS)(x,T) for a wide composition and temperature range to be obtained.
