摘要

A field experiment was conducted at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana during the kharif seasons of 2004-2006 for three years on a sandy loam soil with neutral pH, low in organic carbon and high in available phosphorus and potash. The experiment with 12 treatments was laid out in randomized block design with four replications. On the basis of three years, it was found that significantly higher seed cotton yield (2437 kg/ha) was obtained with the integration of 10 t/ha of FYM and foliar sprays of KNO3 with 50 per cent of the recommended dose of NPK fertilizers (T12) as compared to all other treatments. The treatment T12 recorded 57.0, 29.6 and 23.3 per cent more yield than control (T1), recommended dose of nitrogen and phosphorus (T3) and recommended dose of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash (T4), respectively. This was followed by T8 (2140 kg/ha) which outyielded control by a margin of 37.9 per cent. Treatment T12 also produced significantly more number of sympods, bolls and yield per plant as compared to treatments T1 to T3. The maximum net returns of Rs. 41113.57/ha were also obtained in treatment T12.
