摘要

From three years (1999-2000 to 2001-2002) orperiments at Cotton Research Unit, Dr. Panuabrao Deshkukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, it was found that detopping in hirsutum cotton was not advantageous in terms of growth and seed cotton yield. Foliar spraying of 20 ppm NAA (at flowering and boll development stage) and sequential spraying of 2 per cent urea at flowering and 2 per cent DAP at boll development stage recorded 12.3 and 13.6 per cent higher seed cotton yield over control (no spray), respectively.
