摘要

Vitiligo has been well investigated in terms of both cellular and humoral immunity [1,2]. Proteomic analysis is used to identify target protein specific to a particular disease by searching for the expression or modification of the protein. In this study, proteomics analysis was performed using the sera of vitiligo patients to detect autoantigens of melanocytes related with vitiligo pathogenesis. Twenty-two patients (8 males, 14 females, ages: 20-81) affected by non-segmental, generalized vitiligo in the active phase (slowly progressing, enlarging, or recurring for at least 3 months), and 14 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study. Three of 22 patients had autoimmune thyroiditis and alopecia areata at the same time and there was no patient with family history of vitiligo.
