Laboratory studies were conducted to evaluate the relative toxicity of pyrethroid and non-pyrethroid insecticides against male and female Helopeltis theivora. Results showed a variation in the relative toxicity of different insecticides was observed between male and female H. theivora (Darjeeling strain). Females were more susceptible to the different insecticides than males. Cypermethrin was the most effective among the synthetic pyrethroids. All the non-pyrethroids were least effective than pyrethroids except thiomethoxam..
