The concentration switching of the direction of the trace profile in the flow of particles of a Brownian gas around an inclusion in the presence of correlations between these particles has been demon- strated. The switching of the trace is due to the blockage of particles. Such a switching effect does not occur in the case of the motion of an impurity in a sweeping field, where the trace is manifested as a local dense region ahead of the inclusion and a long low-density tail behind it, which characterizes the long-term mem- ory of the medium about the passage of the inclusion. The results have been obtained within the model of a two-component lattice gas, whereas the characteristic asymptotic profiles of the trace have been discussed in the long-wavelength approximation.
