It has been some time since I have written about e-health in the Journal. Clearly, it has evolved tremendously since this Journal began publication in 1996 when the World Wide Web and Internet were still in their infancy. Google, Facebook, Twitter, mHealth, and the new lexicon of health communication and social media were in gestation. Access to new technologies and the web browser are among the significant changes in how people obtain information, which subsequently changed the way we thought about delivering and retrieving health communication.
