The composition and certain structural elements of the fish portion of the community of Peter the Great Bay at the depth of 50-200 m in June-September are considered. Ninety nine fish species from 25 families are recorded. Nine species absent nearer the shore begin to occur at depths more than 50 m, but ten species being mass or usual in the sublittoral are not noted. The near-bottom-pelagic species predominate in the eulittoral zone of Peter the Great Bay, but the bottom species form the most stable stocks. The total ichthyomass at depths from 50 to 100 m (9.88 t/km super(2)) is, in general, higher than the total fish biomass at depths from 100 to 200 m (5.58t/km super(2)). The fish stocks in the investigated zone are in a state of dynamic equilibrium because, with decreasing numbers of some species, the numbers of others increase.
