Data on the spatial-bathymetric distribution and size composition of Aspidophoroides bartoni in Pacific waters off the northern Kuril Islands and southeastern Kamchatka are cited based on materials of 1993-2002. This is a comparatively rare, small fish species (maximum length of 22 cm), all catches of which in 1993-2002 were recorded to the north of the Fourth Kuril Strait in the lower part of the shelf and on the adjoining sites of the continental slope of Paramushir and Shumshu islands and the southeastern extremity of Kamchatka at depths of 100-337 m. Maximum frequency of occurrence in catches was recorded in autumn-winter months (September-December) in the interval of 150-200 m, which is possibly related to the migration of most individuals from lesser depths to the lower boundary of the shelf for wintering.
