Seven fnsecticfdai and one mechanical treatments were evaluated against sugarcane whitefly, Aleurolobus barodensis, Imidaeloprid 200 SL @ 100 ml/ha proved superior over control against nymphs and triazophos 40 EC @ 1500 ml/ha against pupae over all insecticldal and mechanlcal treatmentsafter 7 and 15 days of spray. Removal of pupae - bearing lower dry leaves was Inferior to most of the insecticidai treatments tested but superior over control.
