摘要

The use of drug-eluting stents has significantly reduced the risk of restenosis and target vessel revas-cularization.1'2 However, with the delayed stent en-dothelialization, the risk of stent thrombosis (ST), a rare but high-morbidity and high-mortality event,3 has been documented in multiple reports. A number of clinical and procedural risk factors have been correlated with ST in clinical trials and practice, and include premature discontinuation of dual antiplatelet therapy, renal failure, bifurcation stenting, small vessel percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), prior brachytherapy, suboptimal stent result, acute coronary syndrome, diabetes, complex lesions, and depressed left ventricular systolic function.
