Biaxial orientation (BO) was observed during the uniaxial drawing of bulk natural rubber (NR). The degree of BO was compared in NR films named TCL-0 and TCL-1, having original widths of 1mm and 8mm, respectively. The results of wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) indicated that BO was enhanced with increasing film width. The degree of BO was quantitatively evaluated by an orientation function of the (200) plane, F-200. We proposed a new method to evaluate F-200 using an intensity ratio (R) of 120 and 200 reflections. For this purpose, a theoretical relation of R versus F-200 was calculated using Gaussian and/or Lorentzian distribution functions. Following the new method, we obtained 0.06
