摘要

Michigan pepper growers who see leaf spotting on their plants can probably rule out a fungal disease. "Bacterial spot looks like fungal leaf spot - with leaf spotting and brown areas," said Mary Hausbeck, Michigan State University (MSU) plant pathologist. "In Michigan we haven't had a fungal leaf spot problem of any consequence in 12 years, so we suspect bacterial spot." Bacterial spot causes foliage to drop which results in sun scald on uncovered fruit.
