摘要

This article presents the results of experimental studies of the all-weather capability of second- and third-generation television and thermal-vision observation devices, carried out on a 15-km track in 2004-5. The experiments lasted one year and were accompanied by regular estimates of the meteorological visibility range, the illumination, and other meteorological parameters. A large number of video recordings were obtained as a result of the studies, making it possible to evaluate not only the visual possibilities of the devices, but also the probability of using the devices under conditions of a temperate climate at the latitude of Tula.
