A field experiment was conducted during kharif andrabi, 1999-2000 and 2000-01 on sandy clay loam soil atCollege Farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar,Hyderabad to study the effect of conjunctive use oforganic and inorganic sources of nitrogen to rice ongrowth and yield of soybean. Integrated nitrogenmanagement practices to kharif rice have greatlyinfluenced the growth, yield attributes, yield andnutrient uptake of soybean during both the years.Significantly higherdrymatterproduction, NPK uptake,protein and seed yield of soybean were observed withapplication of 25% N through green leaf manure +100% N through urea to rice as compared to other Nmanagement practices to rice. There was nosignificant difference between 25% N through FYM +75% N through urea and 25% N through GLM + 75% Nthrough urea in respect of drymatter and yield ofsoybean. Significantly lower protein yield wasobserved with 25% N through FYM and 75% N throughurea.
