Aim. To identify the quality of life experienced by liver transplant recipients according to time-since-transplant and selected patient demographics. Background. Chronic liver disease is the 12th leading cause of death in the US. While seen as a successful intervention for treating liver failure, transplant recipients face many issues of chronicity that affect their quality of life over time. Most research has addressed limited aspects of quality of life related to functional or socioeconomic status. A multidimensional approach, however, is needed; therefore, this cross-sectional descriptive study was undertaken using Ferrans and Powers (1985, 1992) conceptual framework of quality of life.
