Doctors are often reluctantto seek help for mental health conditions and tend to try to manage their own health concerns, rather than seek a formal consultation and treatment. The practitioner health programme is a free and confidential service launched last month for medical practitioners living or working in the London area. As part of the programme, Capio Nightingale Hospital in central London will provide confidential and specialist help for conditions ranging from depression, stress, and anxiety to addiction and other mental health disorders, particularly those affecting a doctor's ability to work.
