This study critically appraises a patient narrative reflecting on aspects of care delivery and debating potential improvements in contemporary practice. Patient narrative enquiry, a qualitative approach, was utilised in this study in an effort to understand further the nature of personal experience. The narrative was acquired as part of a routine nursing evaluation and helped to illuminate nursing care Issues through the eyes of the patient.
