摘要

In our article we presented Cryo-TEM pictures (Figure 4) showing elongated structures, 'reminiscent of wormlike micelles'. For these measurements, samples were frozen in nitrogen slush, whose cooling rate is far too low to produce vitreous ice. As a result, the structures in Figure 4 are from hexagonal ice rather than elongated, saponin aggregates. The dark lines in Figure 4a correspond to crystal boundaries and in Figure 4b Bragg reflections clearly show the presence of hexagonal ice.The measurements were repeated on another instrument, using liquid ethane instead of slush nitrogen.
