摘要

CoMnSi0.88Ge0.12 alloy was prepared using an optimized annealing routine. The metamagnetic transition between antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism can be observed in this alloy by either increasing the temperature or applying a magnetic field. The metamagnetic transition temperature is very sensitive to the applied field. Owing to the low metamagnetic critical field and large variation in magnetization, large and positive magnetic entropy changes as well as broad working temperature spans are obtained in this metamagnetic system.
