Charge transport in metal ion doped polyaniline has been studied by carrying out J—V and C—V measurements on metal—polyaniline junctions. Investigations show that the non-linear J—V characteristics cannot be explained on the basis of interfacial barrier alone. At high bias the J—V characteristics seem to follow space charge limited conduction with exponential distribution of traps. The barrier and trap parameters estimated from the measurements have been discussed.
