摘要

We have developed highly efficient white organic light-emitting devices using a multilayer emission structure consisting of a single host layer. The red phosphorescent, tris(2-phenyl-1-quinoline)iridium(III) [Ir(phq)_3], and the blue phosphorescent, iridium(III)bis[(4,6-di-fluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N, C2/]picolinate (FIrpic), are doped into separate layers of N,N'-dicarbazolyl-3, 5-benzene (mCP) host. The FIrpic and Ir(phq)_3 guest molecules are directly excited by direct recombination on these molecules. A maximum external quantum efficiency of 20.3% and a current efficiency of 45.6 cd A-1 are achieved by optimizing charge balance, which is a major factor in achieving high efficiency in the mCP: FIrpic/mCP: Ir(phq)_3 single host structure.
