摘要

With the new IndiAir Sensor the BST ProControl succeeded to develop a system for contactless thickness measurement of thin and flat materials by air. Material thickness is still an important factor for almost every manufacturer. While most of the thickness sensors clamp the material between two conductors, the functional principle of the IndiAir Sensor is based on the measurement of two reference plates, which are guided through an air cushion. In this process two sensors are used on top of each other, whereas the lower sensor represents an eddy-current distance system and determines the distance to the reference plate.
