After amputation of the upper limb, participation in strengthening and range of motion (ROM) exercises with use of elastic bands has been limited because of loss of grip. This technical solution utilizes a common gel liner and permits a low-cost attachment that maintains grip throughout full ROM during elbow and shoulder exercise while resisted. Additional benefits were noted including eustress on the scar and use of prosthetic componentry. Results are limited due to implementation in a single case patient. Nonetheless, the technical solution provides a means that enables grip throughout the full ROM during exercise without loss of grip with elastic bands.
