DolciExtrusion Srl has developed a new winder, based on the ARX concept. This new winder can work at a speed of 800 m/min (2400 ft).The ARX concept is based on three spindles, one for winding, one for loading the new cores and one for unloading the finished rolls. The shafts will not swing or cantilever for unloading the rolls; the unloading phase is not based on side pushers: the rolls are gen-tly taken out by a cradle system to avoid damaging of the edges of the rolls on thin films. The ARX can process jumbo rolls up to 440 mm diameter (17.5"), machine rolls and also hand rolls on 3" cores. The change over cycle is less than 30 seconds.
