Polytec will introduce the new Sinteron 5000-System, which makes integration of a photonic sintering unit into a production process possible for the first time. To date this technology was mainly used in research and development in order to test the procedure and to develop applications for commercial use suitable for series production. With the new system it is now possible to sinter on assembly lines and roll-to-roll applications. As was the case already in earlier Sinteron-systems, the patented technology developed by the Polytec-partner Xenon Corporation in the USA is employed. UV pulses rich in energy coming from Xenon-flash lamps sinter silver nano particle inks printed on flexible substrates such as plastics, films, textiles and paper without damaging or overheating them. ?
