For a highly exacting degree of further processing, for example, metalizing or further processing in a clean room, film surfaces on rolls of material must be free of particle contamination, so that defects in the coating and access of particles into the clean room are avoided. For this demanding standard of cleaning, special processes are required: particles down to less than 1 urn in size are necessary.
