BASF Coatings is set to build a second basecoat plant in Shanghai. When ready in the first half of 2014, it will increase the company's local production capacity by 13,500 tons per annum. BASF and its Chinese partner of 15 years, Shanghai Coatings Company, al- ready run a production facility in the district of Minhang in Shanghai.
