摘要

The concentration of U-238, Th-232 and K-40 in rock samples were analysed using gamma ray spectrometry. In Kubwa, the concentration ranges from 15 to 52 Bq kg(-1) for U-238, 32 to 84 Bq kg(-1) for Th-232 and 119 to 705 for K-40 Bq kg(-1). In Gosa area, the concentration of U-238 ranges from 23 to 30 Bq kg(-1), Th-232 varied from 48 to 76 Bq kg(-1), and K-40 varied from 438 to 820 Bq kg(-1). The dose rate, radium equivalent activity and annual effective dose rate at Kubwa and Gosa were calculated and compared with international standard values.
