摘要

Radioactive metal pipes activated and/or contaminated were segmented by plasma arc cutting to understand the generation and dispersion behaviors of radioactive aerosols. The specific radioactivity of the aerosols increased with decreasing particle size. Particularly for surface contaminated pipe, the specific radioactivity of Co-60 was inversely proportional to the surface area of particles smaller than about 0.3 mu m of aerodynamic diameter.
