摘要

The manuscript describes the Po-210 activity concentration in different varieties of marine organism collected from Mumbai Harbour Bay as well as from major fish collection centre of India. Po-210 in the edible portion of organisms and in the sea water were carried out by alpha spectrometry by using Po-209 tracer as yield monitor. In fish varieties, Po-210 was observed to be in the range of < 0.002-17.06 Bq kg(-1) wet. In prawns, the activity concentration was in the range of < 0.002-31.07 Bq kg(-1) wet, while in Crab samples Po-210 activity concentration was in the range of 0.035-12.03 Bq kg(-1). Ingestion dose based on the consumption of the sea food was observed to be in the range of 7.06 x 10(-04)-2.04 A mu Sv yr(-1).
