摘要

Solid-organ transplant candidates and recipients are at an Increased risk for Infection as a result of their underlying disease state and the lifelong lmmunosuppressive therapy required after transplantation. Disease prevention and vaccination are Important In these patients, and Immunization status should be properly assessed at every clinical contact with the patient.The timing of vaccination In solid-organ transplant recipients is critical for two reasons: (1) Immune response decreases as the disease progresses towards end-organ failure, and (2) Initiating lmmunosuppressive therapy after transplantation decreases vaccine immune responses even further.1 For these reasons, patients should be immunized as early as possible In the course of their disease and before end-organ failure.
