The performance of a static slip energy recovery system has been investigated in generating mode over a wide range of prime mover speed in sub and super-synchronous regions. The system is analysed in synchronously rotating d-q reference frame andfrom the resulting mathematical model, steady state performance curves are obtained for a 5 hp wound rotor induction machine.
