Industrial combustion of fossil coals "mobilizes" trace elements and results in their redistribution in combustion products. Thermally inert elements are retained with the ash-slag mass and thermally mobile elements are released in the gas phase. Trace elements and their compounds with high condensation temperatures are sorbed by fly-ash particles. The enrichment ratio is 2.5-3 and may reach 7. The nonsorbable elements are released into the environment in the gas phase.There is established a correspondence between the distribution of trace elements in soil and their behavior during combustion. Excessive concentrations in soil and aureoles are formed only by emission trace elements. The sorbable elements form embryonal aureoles due to the enrichment ratio of fly ash. Nonsorbable trace elements are accumulated most intensively. There are no limiting concentration levels in soil for these elements. Thermally inert trace elements do not produce aureoles in soil.
