In medical science, many parameters measured in the humanbody can be used to calculate quantities of other parameters.Such calculations traditionally were done by hand. The cal-culator by Dr. A. Lips ("klinische rekencirkel" in Dutch) claimsto provide a more efficient method for routine clinical/chemi-cal calculations in medicine. The device primarily should savetime in executing the various calculations needed[1]. Thecalculator consists of two discs, rotating around a centralpin.
