摘要

An online survey was conducted regarding the demographic, financial and marketing information of veterinary dental services in the USA during June 2005. It was shown that most of the small animal and dental specialty practices were located in cities with <1 million population. Gross income ranged from $80 000-%2.66 million. Income from dentistry averaged 19.8% of the total income. The most common marketing strategies used included examination room displays, reminder notices, reminder phone calls and newsletters. Problems included respondents having difficulty accessing the online survey or being unaware of it, lack of statistical data and no knowledge of the income generated by dental and other services..
