A New Zealand White laboratory rabbit in Minnesota, USA, was presented with decreased appetite and a swelling on the left mandible. The rabbit was treated with enrofloxacin and ketoprofen for possible abscess or osteomyelitis. There was no improvement after 10 days, and the mass had grown over the left mandibular first and second premolar teeth, causing the bite to become abnormal and the incisors to be malpositioned and maloccluded. The rabbit was euthanized and submitted to postmortem examination. Histopathological analysis of the mass confirmed the final diagnosis of a fibrosarcoma with multifocal areas of mineralization and ossification..
