摘要

The continuous wavelet transform is applied to simultaneously measured velocity components of atmospheric wind and surface pressure on low-rise buildings. The resulting time-scale representation of wavelet transform coefficients is used to relate velocity and pressure scales. The wavelet cross-scalogram is used to indicate which events in the velocity and pressure fluctuations take place at the same scale and the same time. The results show that when large peaks appear in the u- and, as importantly, v-components of the velocity, low-pressure peaks appear in the pressure fluctuations. Furthermore, the cross-scalogram shows that there is a clear relationship between energetic events in the flow and the appearance of pressure peaks. Specifically, the low-pressure peaks occur at the same scale and time as they do in the incident velocity fluctuations.
