摘要

Apoptosis is a distinct type of cell death. This important biological phenomenon has gained substantial attention from nurses recently. Nursing knowledge in relation to apoptosis is still limited. As molecular information is available and the information can be applied to patient care especially in haemorrhagic shock, more explorations in this aspect should be promoted for evidence-based nursing practice. This well written paper will attract the attention of international readers to better understand apoptosis as well as the fluid choice affecting apoptosis in haemorrhagic shock. In this review of the paper 'Apoptosis and haemorrhagic shock', the author(s) discuss comprehensively on apoptosis related to morphology, regulation, signal transduction, detection and haemorrhagic shock resuscitation fluids. The extensive explorations of these issues in the paper are well supported with reference to research evidence, which provides a scientific value of this review.
