摘要

Globba bicolor Gagnep. (Zingiberaceae) is reported here as a new record for Thailand. This species is described and photographed.The genus Globba is distributed throughout tropical (and parts of subtropical) Asia; it ranges from India to southern China, south and east to the Philippines and New Guinea (Schumann 1904), with the center of distribution in monsoonal Southeast Asia, especially Thailand (Larsen 1996) and Myanmar (Kress et al. 2002). Forty-one species of Globba are reported in Thailand (Larsen and Larsen 2006). We collected a native ginger Globba bicolor in the Northeast of Thailand, which is a new report for Thailand.
