We found an individual of Aster hispidus Thunb. var. leptocladus (Makino) Okuyama (Asteraceae) with tubular corollas of ray florets in the serpentine area of Hidaka-mura, Takaoka-gun, Kochi Pref., Shikoku, Japan. Other morphological features of the individual were identical to those of the typical form. Therefore, we described that as a new form, A. hispidus var. leptocladus f. tubaliflorus Kumekawa, J. Yokoy. & Tatsuya Fukuda.
