A set of spring wheat varieties of domestic and German breeding has been studied in two contrasting ecological points. The study revealed relative contribution of genotype, conditions of vegetation and their interactions into general variability of the trait "height of plants". The ecological plasticity of spring wheat varieties was evaluated by height of plants.
