A procedure is developed for the determination of mononitro- and dinitrostilbenes. The procedure is based on their reduction by formamidinesulfinic acid with the further photometric determination of resulting amines with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde. An analysis lakes 30 min The molar absorptivity is about 2 X 10~(-4). The ana lytical range is (2-10) X 10~(-5) M.
